A unique event venue in Hallingdal

Operalåven is an ideal venue for all kinds of events and private celebrations, including weddings, confirmations, naming ceremonies, anniversaries and other special occasions. We can arrange seating for up to 110 guests, and the venue has an adjoining kitchen and cloakroom. Outside, you’ll find a welcoming terrace with barrel grills and garden furniture.

The traditional Hallingstugu, Veslestugu, at the top of the farmyard can be booked as a bridal suite. Other guests can stay at the beautiful Bergsjøstølen Mountain Lodge or at one of the accommodation options in central Ål.

Looking for a meeting venue with something extra? Perhaps your company is planning a social event, or you’re welcoming international guests and would like to introduce them to a little piece of Norway.

The hall can be set up for meetings or seminars and is equipped with a screen, projector and fibre broadband. There is parking for 60 cars, as well as a turning area for buses.

We work with catering and accommodation partners. We can recommend, for example, delicious baguettes from Tid Café or tapas from Hallingdal Catering—or why not try småmat og lefsekling, local traditional specialities?

Are you part of a choir looking to hold a professional development seminar? At Operalåven, you can breathe in the fresh mountain air and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The hall is a pleasure to sing in, with comfortable seating and a Steinway grand piano. We can also arrange an experienced local choir instructor: singer and conductor Marit Sehl.
